Our Story

 Jacob and Kelly Henderson’s dream of opening a Redoubt Bar & Eatery in Morrinsville has become a reality.

The new premises are on the corner of Thames St and Canada St (314 Thames St) in Morrinsvile’s CBD.

After years of saying we should “do” a ‘Redoubt’ in Morrinsville, it finally happened..

Jacob and Kelly served their “apprenticeship” by leasing The Redoubt in Te Awamutu for three years before opening The Redoubt Bar & Eatery in Matamata in June 2006.

Morrinsville seemed a town that needed a good local, to engage, celebrate, commiserate and just relax.

As in Matamata, Jacob and Kelly have brought a formula to Redoubt Morrinsville which celebrates the township with photos, images and memorabilia unique to Morrinsville.

The walls of the premises display Morrinsville happenings, heroes and villains.
